Lorraine Ferretti, RM, CHT, Board Member, President
Lorraine has been practicing energy work since 1999. She received her Reiki Master attunement in 2001. Lorraine is also a Certified Hypnotherpist specializing in life coaching and self confidence training. She currently works for an internationally known real estate company and resides in Bellmore, NY. Lorraine has been a board member of the LIRC since 2005 and is currently President of the organization.
Theresa Sarin, MS., Ed, Board Member, Vice President
Theresa is an Elementary School Teacher/Reading Specialist, and a Reiki Master Teacher since 1995, Karuna Reiki Master Teacher since 1998. She is a Light Body Graduate and is certified as a Rainbow Reiki, Body of Light and Angelic Energy Healing Practitioner. Theresa also is a Health Educator/Distributor for Young Living Essential Oils and is also certified in Raindrop Therapy. Theresa currently serves as Vice President, Distant Healing Coordinator and Editor on the Board of the Long Island Reiki Connection. She hosts a monthly Healing Circle and has a Private Reiki Practice in Nassau and Suffolk County.
Lorraine Austin, RN, Board Member
Lorraine began her study of various Healing Arts during her 16 years of working with chronic and acutely ill children and adolescences. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, she was instrumental in developing and implementing a stress reduction program using various techniques including meditation and guided imagery for children and families at risk. This experience led her to begin studying Reiki in 2001 and she was elevated to Reiki Master Teacher in 2003. She is also a Karuna Reiki Master Teacher, Certified Chakra Healer, Body of Light and Rainbow Reiki Practitioner. She runs two monthly Reiki Healing Circles and has a full time Healing practice in Smithtown. She is currently serving on the Board of Long Island Reiki Connection as Treasurer.
Annmarie Citarella, MS Special Ed, Board Member
Annmarie has taught special education for 10 years. She is also a Reiki Master Teacher since 2001 and a Certified Hypnotist since 2002, specializing in pain management. Other modalities she is certified in include Integrated Energy Therapy (IET), Reconnective Healing, and an Ah-Ra Healer. She has been a volunteer for hospice since 2005. She currently serves on the Board of the LIRC as the planning and program coordinator.
Laura Maglio, RMT, Board Member
Laura's passion for Reiki's Illumining Healing Light has taken her on the path of becoming a Usui and Karuna™ Reiki Master Teacher. She is a Light Body Graduate, a Certified Bereavement Facilitator, a Rainbow Reiki, Body of Light and Angelic Energy Healing Practitioner. She is certified in Mandala Assessment and Young Living Raindrop Therapy. Laura holds a monthly Healing Circle. She appreciates the honor to serve as a Board Member for the Long Island Reiki Connection.
Christine Sugarman, LMT, Board Member
Christine is currently the CFO for Tequipment Inc., serving on the board for LIRC as Membership Chair. Christine's Reiki training started in 1998 and completed to Reiki Master Teacher level. She also has training and hold certification in Massage Therapy, Body of Light, and Astrology.
